Golden Mile Banner Dedication Held

August 28, 2019 / / News

The Golden Mile Alliance held a dedication ceremony on Tuesday, August 27th  for banners that were installed along the mile and side roads in mid-summer.  This project was begun in 2015 and was the culmination of effort and hard work on the part of many people over the years.  The banners were designed to give the community a “sense of place” and to define the area for those traveling through the region.  Thanks should go to a great many people, including previous GMA board members and current board members, GMA president David Newman, community activist Kris Fair, Tom Brady and associates (who printed and stored the banners) along with the Department of Economic Development, Verizon and First Energy.

Here is just a short clip of the Mayor’s address at the event.
