Golden Mile Small Area Plan Subcommittee conducted an in-depth review of the Golden Mile Small Area Plan from December 2012 through March 2013, and provided comments to the City of Frederick Planning Commission.
Golden Mile Property Owners Luncheon, March 27, 2012. The Golden Mile Alliance hosted a luncheon to inform and educate property owners on the City’s Golden Mile Small Area Plan initiative.
Movie on the Mile, August 24, 2012. More than 1,000 people attended this drive-in movie event at the Frederick Towne Mall, featuring children’s activities and Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax. The public generously donated to our call for school supplies at this event to support the Stuff the Bus campaign. Thank you, Frederick!
Golden Mile Merchant Mixer, August 29, 2012. The Golden Mile Alliance hosted its first Merchant Mixer event for area business owners for a morning of networking and information sharing.
Movie on the Mile, September 28, 2012. The second drive-in movie event featuring the animated hit movie Rio. Again, the public was very generous as we requested donations of non-perishable foods to support the Frederick Good Bank. Thank you for your generosity!
Beginning in 2012 and through 2013, The Golden Mile Alliance held several Business Seminars and hosted numerous Mixer on the Mile Networking events.
The Golden Mile Alliance receives 501(c)3 Status in April, 2014.
A Golden Mile Community Easter Egg Hunt was held on April 13, 2014 at Hill Street Park for area children. The event was well attended with 80-100 area children scrambling to gather Easter Eggs and spend time with the Easter Bunny!
Golden Mile Alliance Property Owners Luncheon, May 1, 2014. The Golden Mile Alliance hosted a luncheon for area property owners to provide the group with updates on the small area plan, development initiatives, tax credits, new business growth on the Golden Mile. Information was also presented on City of Frederick Police Department initiatives.
